Research published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed that those in managerial jobs had an average weekly consumption level of 13. 8 units, whereas routine trade workers only consumed 10. 6 units, over the same period. A second report by the ONS found that adults consumed their largest weekly amount at home - 46 per cent of male drinkers and 57 per cent of females.
